FILTER SERVICE'2008
The coming end of the year is a time to summarise and analyse the achievements of our company in the closing period.

The year 2008 at the FILTER SERVICE Sp. z o. o. company has been a time of changes both in terms of the finished investment as well as concerning the launch of state-of-the-art products on the market.

The new investment is a two-storey building located in Zgierz in Sadowa 4a Street. At this newly constructed facility, there are offices of the Chairman of the Board, D. Sc. Engineer Jacek Krzyżanowski and the Deputy Chairmen, Engineer Mirosław Jabłoński and M. Sc. Krzysztof Wojtas. In the section intended for the company's Board, there are also two very well equipped training and conference rooms, where training courses will be conducted for the staff and clients without the crowding and discomfort. The speakers and the listeners will have the pleasure to use modern multimedia equipment. The other, the bottom section of the building, was assigned for the use by the quality control department and the finished products' warehouse. The new facility is sure to influence the performance quality of the company and contribute to the growing satisfaction of our clients.

The year 2008 has also been about new products.

As early as January, the company launched the sale of reusable filters E 952 P2 R and EW 952 P2 R. After being combined with a half-mask EURMASK ETNA the filters can be used for protecting the respiratory system from dusts, smoke, mists and liquid aerosols, if the concentration of contaminants does not exceed 10 x MPC. These are products which meet the requirements of the EN 143:2000/ A1 2006 standard that introduced the division into disposable (single use) filters, ladled "NR" and reusable (multiple uses) ladled "R." Additionally, the EW 952 P2 R filters are equipped with a layer of special fibres with active carbon. Thanks to this they can be used in environments where the air has an unpleasant smell. When launching the new products on the market, the FILTER SERVICE company has announced a promotional campaign where with a purchase of 10 filters (5 sets), the EUROMASK ETNA half-mask can be purchased for a symbolic price of 1 PLN.

Another new product is the filtering half-mask FX 2025 FFP2 D R. This product is intended especially for use in locations where there may be lighting problems. The light-reflecting material used on the half-mask's valve helps to quickly locate the wearer using for example a flashlight.  New filtering materials were used in manufacturing this new product. Thanks to their properties, high surface resistance parameters were obtained, which makes this half-mask model suitable for use at mining sites. This product also achieved good results for air-flow resistance. If it is low and does not rise quickly during the time the half-mask is used, the wearer will breathe relatively easily. This has great significance for the comfort of work. This product is also equipped with tapes for securing the half-mask on the user's head which enable the half-mask dome to adjust to the shape of the user's face. The seal used on the inside of the dome also enables the half-mask to adhere tightly. This in turn is crucial for full anti-dust protection.

FILTER SERVICE Sp. z o.o. is a company that has been cooperating with science and research centres since its beginnings. Thanks to this cooperation, new products are appearing, often equipped with features extending towards the future. The effort put into scientific research and implementation work most often brings very positive results, although these are sometimes invisible to the clients. This work allows the company to adapt its products to the requirements of progressively more and more rigorous standards and introduce new products on the market.

At the end of June 2008, the program that had been conducted for a few years, titled New Generation of Filtering Materials with Nanofibres and Modifiers, was concluded; its coordinator was the Centre of Advanced Technologies of Friendly for Human Textiles PRO HUMANO TEX based in Łódź. The institution responsible for implementing the programme was the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the partners include the Technical University of Łódź - the Department of Fibre Physics and Textile Metrology, the Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute and the company FILTER SERVICE Sp. z o.o. the project helped to invent bioactive filtering fibres and filtering half-masks which protect the respiratory system from biological agents. This equipment ensures efficient interception of microorganisms of over 0.3 μm in diameter by the filtering layer while at the same time it helps to stop them from proliferating in time. This allows for a prolongation of effective protection guaranteed by the filtering material for a specific class of equipment and safe, repeated use of the product. The half-masks and filters produced using the new materials at the same time conform to the requirements of two directives: 89/686/EEC - incorporated into domestic legal system in the ordinance of the minister of Economy, dated 21st December 2005, on the basic requirements for personal protection equipment and 98/8/EC (2007/70/EC dated 29th November 2007) - the act on biocidal products, dated 13th September 2002.
The result of the programme are the now certified and marketed filters BIO E 953 P3 R, which, used in combination with the half-mask EURMASK ETNA, are used for protection of the respiratory system from dusts, smokes and fluid aerosols up to 50 x MPC and from biological hazards of over 0.3 μm in diameter.

Modernity, innovativeness and good management are the characteristics which are the key to the success of FILTER SERVICE.  They are the guarantee of high quality products and efficient service to our clients. They are also the basis of continuing development of the company, which is a reliable partner both for domestic and international consumers.
